End-point assessment
An End-Point Assessment (EPA) is the final evaluation at the conclusion of your apprenticeship.
It measures your performance against the knowledge, skills, and behaviours (KSBs) outlined in the occupational standard. Throughout your training, you will develop these KSBs. The EPA gives you the chance to demonstrate to an independent assessor how effectively you can perform the occupation for which you've been trained.

Your employer will select an End-Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) to oversee the EPA. Both your employer and training provider will guide you on what to expect and how to prepare.
​
The apprenticeship training typically lasts 24 months, followed by a 4-month EPA period.
